Rollin' Away

And so began the next chapter of Benjamin's life

On the 28th of February, 1958, at the age of thirty, Benjamin Button set off on a journey

A journey that would take him across the world

A journey that would last exactly five years, nine months, and twelve days

At fourteen knots, you'll soon see what's to lose and what's to learn

But the findin' often comes at a cost of what we leave behind

He set off to London Town, my boys

Off to London Town

Where he found the fancy doctor

Physician to the crown

He told him of his plight, my boys

He told him of his curse

So you've come to me for a remedy to aging in reverse?

But you can't forget when you cast your net, what you best be lookin' for

With Cornwall far behind

As he sought a new solution

From a doctor of the mind

Who listened and replied, my boys

It's clear your sense of shame

Is the root of your confusion

This temporal delusion

And I've come to the conclusion

To try to understand

You went the whole world 'round

Why you could not stay

Why you left at all

The years went rollin' by, my boys

As further did he roam

He searched across the world, my boys

And further from his home

It's quite unorthodox

We submit you to a treatment through intense electric shocks

Not a healer in the world had seen

Everywhere he went for a cure increased

Not a soul in sight or a hope that he
