This unbright, leaden sky

A profound and heavy sign

And the sun, up above is

Broken up by brightened dregs of white

Ringing in my ears

Till it's all I hear...

See the swallow flying low

As it makes figure eights, and

Flies over the vale cityscape

Come the eventide

Droplets from the sky will fall...

High above the girl below

Lacking shelter from the rain

Fearfully she keeps on walking

I feel ever so

Filled with cowardice and woe, as I

Just look up to the sky...

Over here, over there

Skilful stumbling with care

I stand at a cafe

Searching for a place to breathe my last

I cannot go back, I cannot go back...

Swinging back and forth, in tow

Walking down the path we see

Both of us, like infantry

A heart, so vulnerable

Easily abused by those who thrive

Seeking danger in life!
