We try to move on, but the pain, it grows

It's hard to be strong, and everybody knows

He loved her with all of his heart, she was his wife

How can he restart, continue his life

Words cannot portray the Night Rider's pain

But these words shine too dim, fade into the night

Yes, we have reached fame, but Darlene died

We'll never be the same, though we have tried

Crowds cheer out our name, they won't be denied

I can't believe we've made it this far

Is it true what they say about a superstar

That fame and fortune will go to your head

But we're on stage and Darlene's dead
