Sitting here - watching the rain fall

What to do - can't seem to take it all

Still it pours - and still I wonder why

Why it is - I have to feel this way

Rue the day - I saw you slip away

Oh so sad - waving you goodbye

The the sun - appears from behind a cloud

No more tears - time now to shout out loud

I see a rainbow - high up in the sky

No more self pity , no more hidden doubt

After the storm clouds - I see a rainbow coming out

So lift you hearts and sing and shout - shout

Out of the rain - there came a rainbow

 

Rainbow, rainbow - don't go - my rainbow

But the sun - somehow slips aways

Now the clouds are turning to black and grey

Soon the rain will start a tumbling down

I don't mind - I think I can make it through

Through the day - either with or without you

Come what may - suddenly I've found

Now I know - sometime the rain will stop

Then to climb - someday to reach the top

And soon a rainbow always comes around
