Flood the Altar

High upon the mountain top, the altar was prepared

The pagan prophets said their god would show his power there

He offered up their sacrifice, and called upon his name

But though they prayed to him all day, the fire never came

Then Elijah stood before another sacrifice

People carried water there to pour upon it twice

And when the altar and the wood were flooded once again

God sent the fire to prove that they should worship only Him
