Lyrics
CLOUD THREE
C. 2024 Tom Higgins
V1:
Cloud One was fun with those rushes of hormones and novelty
Cloud Two, met you; interest grew in having a family
Cloud Three, little feet got big and then made lives of their own
Cloud Four, well, I’d rather ignore, the clocks that are ticking…ticking
Chorus:
Cloud three is where I want to stay forever
The climate’s changing but I like the weather
I’m content that love is sufficient treasure
So for now, I’m happily ensconced on Cloud Three
Brief instrumental
V2:
I don’t need to live in the clouds between five and nine
They might be nice to visit once or twice but you can’t live there
Cloud three – from here you can see the fire, but won’t get burned
It’s for me – might not be for you, we all seek our own levels
>CHORUS
[it’s a place we can all live together; once you find love, you have found your treasure – and can happily look down - from Cloud Three]]
Instrumental verse
V3:
Someone catalogued clouds many years ago as one thru nine
And then Hollywood spread the myth that nine’s the most of the most
Well that may be true; but enough is enough at a certain point
If you’re surfing the sun, better hope that you don’t get too close
CHORUS:
Cloud Three is where I want to stay forever
The climate’s changing but I like the weather
I’m content that love is sufficient treasure
So for now, I’m happy on Cloud Three
Cloud 3 – - - It’s where I’ve found my groove
Cloud 3 – it doesn’t matter if you approve
Once you’ve found love, you have found your treasure
And can happily look down – from Cloud Three
You can reach for the stars, or stay in the bars but neither one is right for me
Cloud three – it’s out there, but not too far to see
Above it all – the problems are small when looking down from the sky
