Well the main act doesn’t know my name

And the bathroom is the only place to change

I’m at the Phoenix and I’m playing it alone

A thousand people staring at their phones

But she hauled ass tonight

Yeah she came from work

Said she simply couldn’t wait to see me live

So I’ll lock eyes with her

To make it bearable

I’m just the opener

I’ve got two drink tickets I can’t use

But it’s the kind of night when I really onto

And they’re all gawking at my little bird

While she’s mouthing along to every word

She found a central spot

Where they don’t talk, they should

I almost laughed when she told them cut it out

But just lock eyes with me

I’ll play it nice and clean
