When it rains

The air around me is weighted like a stone

It's hard to even breathe or think or be alone

So I delve into my pain

When it rains

If it rains

I lose the very notion of myself

Decide to make a drastic change to life itself

But the greater pain remains

If it rains

But in your eyes

It's always sunny even if it's cold

It's always calm despite the storms fortold

And rays of light begin to pierce this darkened world of mine

So now it rains

And everything around me feels like home

I needn't scare my thoughts away to stray and roam

I just watch the windowpanes
