One Thing (Prelude)

Since the last time that I did this

Things have changed and healed and broken

But sometimes endings make way for new beginnings

And now I see the Gardener’s kindness

In His steady blade that pruned me

More than ever, I know the Lord is all I need

If there’s something I wanna be known for

It’s that the one thing most important

To me is Jesus

Even through all of this pressing

Thank God I haven’t strayed to lesser

I’ve stayed awake with my friend in Gethsemane

And I know some of these songs are different

But I think that they’re still worship

Because it’s worth it to give the Lord this gift of grief

Cause if there’s something I wanna be known for
