Since a child, I've penned my way.
Years I'd stop, return to fray.
Then, I wrote to ease the ache,
The solitude, my heart to break.
When words alone could not appease,
I walked the paths for mental ease.
When walks grew faint, their solace gone,
I shared with friends,.
I write, I walk, I share with care...
But still, alone, a heavy air,
And thoughts that gnaw, a mental snare:
Who'd want me, then, with all my flaws?
Who'd want me, at all? Who'll heed my cause?
Who'd want me, as I truly am?
With burdens borne, a troubled man?
Too old for games, I can't conceal,
Nor paint a smile I do not feel.
I've much to give, a heart sincere,
Past the first fear, it's all unclear.
It sounds so vain, this lonely plea,
Though loved ones near, it's not for me.
I write, I walk, I share with care...
But still, alone, a heavy air,

So I must search, consumed by fear.
Lord, I've no strength, I cannot cope,
Where is she? I've lost all hope.
Where is she? My strength is done.
Where is she? The fight is gone.
Where is she? My spirit wanes.
Where is she? Only void remains.
