Samuel (Kingdom's Call)

Ancient stories softly ring

Of kingdoms rise and fall

Through the ages voices sing

We hail the King of all

Through prophet Samuel's solemn eyes

A restless nation raised their cries

They sought a king of flesh and bone

Forsaking God upon His throne

Yet David in his pasture mild

Seemed just a lowly shepherd's child

But Heaven saw a warrior's heart

A chosen soul set far apart

You are greater You are stronger

Your kingdom reigns forevermore

When we humbly bow in wonder

Your power moves like ne'er before

Every kingdom rises falls

Yet Your throne outshines them all

When the mighty sink to dust

You lift the ones who in You trust

King Saul once stood in human pride

But arrogance soon turned the tide

While David fought by Heaven's grace

And found his strength in seeking Your face

The giant fell with just one stone

No earthly force can match Your own

In hearts surrendered to Your name

Your might ignites a holy flame

You are greater You are stronger

Your kingdom reigns forevermore

When we humbly bow in wonder

Your power moves like ne'er before

Every kingdom rises falls

Yet Your throne outshines them all

When the mighty sink to dust

You lift the ones who in You trust

Through wars hard fought and kingdoms tossed

Your purpose held when all seemed lost

Each triumph trial and costly fight

Revealed Your wisdom shining bright

Like Samuel's cry rings forth again

Obey the Lord not prideful men

For crowns on earth are soon undone

Yet at Your feet all victory's won

A greater King

In God's design

He builds a throne

That will not fade

Where mercy stands

And grace holds sway

You are greater You are stronger
