Jacarandas

The jacarandas are in bloom,

I’m movin' outta my old room,

I might be the fool in love with you,

Let the winds of change be our tune,

I know I like to make you swoon,

So let us enjoy this afternoon.

Yes I like your strange magic,

Springtime makes me nostalgic,

Will you stop trying to figure me out?

I’m not a Rubik’s cube,

Nor is my star sign a clue,

As to why I act the way that I do.

Purple flowers float with purpose,

I know they don’t want to to hurt us,

So gentle in the backdrop of the sky,

I rarely think so clearly,

And don’t know if you very nearly,

Ponder in the spring, as much as I?

Yes the springtime is a great time,

To be in love,

Don’t ever think that,

You’re not enough,
