Do it Afraid

You said “on earth I will have trials and sorrows”

But You also said “not to worry ‘bout tomorrow”

The future might look kinda bleak

But my lessons turn to blessings eventually

I make my plans but you are the road that I follow

Lord forgive my anxious heart

You know how it likes to stray

I know my anxiety gets the best of me most days

But I know that you see my intent

And I’m only walking by Your grace

And it’s still called faith

Even if I do it afraid

Even if I do it afraid

It’s funny that I think that I have any control

I’m better off taking your hand and keeping my eyes closed

At my best I’m pretty weak

Ironically oh that is the best place to be
