At 5 years old

In class I'm the loudest in the room

Sitting still was not something

I was good at too

Missing lectures was my only way

Of being cool

Playing soccer cause I knew

I would fail at school

Ten years old I feel the void

Of being left alone

Start to wonder if heaven

Might just be my home

So I keep listening to a Jay Z song

All along

Wondering why I still

Can't figure out where

I belong?

I'm now twenty

Don't have much and got nothing to lose

A few pennies

I don't care I've got nothing to prove

My parents worrying I end up

Like uncle Drew

Spend all their money on cars

Drinks and shoes

Ten years later

People start to look up to me

When they see me

On my snowboard late night on TV

So I keep listening to the same old song

Showing to the little me

That we are right where we belong
