In the Beginning (He Is the Way)

In the beginning, there was the Word

And through the Word all things were made, from land and sea

To you and me

And the stars above

It all was made in love

By the Holy One of Israel

Through his son, Jesus Christ

He is the Way

He is the Truth

He is the Life, the Son of God

He is the Word Made Flesh

The Lamb of God

He is the author and perfecter of our faith

In the beginning, mankind was formed

And then the Lord said it was good

And all was well

Until we fell

We discovered sin

But we receive forgiveness

From the Holy One of Israel

Through his son, Jesus Christ

He is the Way

He is the Truth

He is the Life, the Son of God

He is the Word Made Flesh

The Lamb of God

He is the author and perfecter of our faith

Lord, hear our prayer

That there may be peace throughout the Earth in your Name

Help us see, that it begins with acts of love

We must not hate

Lord, help us grow

Help us all learn to love as you have loved us

You are God, the Beginning and the End
