I've been taken by an entity that knows my name

And to be free I had to give up all the lust and fame

By an oath of blood I am forever changed

In Christ, this is what it truly means to be a slave

I'VE BEEN TAKEN BY AN ENTITY THAT KNOWS MY NAME

AND TO BE FREE I HAD TO GIVE UP ALL THE LUST AND FAME

BY AN OATH OF BLOOD I AM FOREVER CHANGED

IN CHRIST THIS IS WHAT IT TRUELY MEANS TO BE A SLAVE

WE ARE NOT THE SAME, I AM UNASHAMED

I'VE BEEN TEMPTED I'VE BEEN TRIED, BUT I KNOW MY AIM

HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS IS MY GUIDE, SET MY HEART AFLAME

IN CHRIST THIS IS WHAT IT TRUELY MEANS TO BE A SLAVE

My tongue feels so heavy I cannot record

When Satan is knocking don't open the door

I scream to my Lord but what is it for?

Now today It's not ok to say that I want to be a slave

So your brain was trained and made to hate that name, yeah

No this slave ain't quiet

Set my gaze on highest

Lift my face, Messiah

In His chains I am saved from the lake of fire

In His Name give Him thanks for the chains acquired

On this stage I'll display the new life that God has made

I was vain and depraved, I was stuck in Plato's cave

Seeing shadows, seeing shapes made by flames in Satan's cage

Jesus came, I was saved, my identity was claimed

Now I pray that you crave the chains that bind you to his grace

He is raised, He is praised, I was made to be His slave

Your insane, and they claim that the purpose stayed the same

But I'm afraid that its plain to see a servant's not a slave
