Really wasn't gonna touch on this subject at all

But there's things heavy on my chest that I have to get off

So let me start by saying how I'm fucking disgusted

I put myself in the position to let you be trusted

Should've seen it from the start the way you slid in my heart

The way your eyes and your hands were made to look like art

Should be displayed in a museum next to the words you've written

Admired from afar because of their condition

Now I know you did your best to keep yourself hidden

And there were parts I couldn't touch-they were strictly forbidden

So I knew from the beginning not to get too attached

Then I saw you and reality were completely detached

Now I'm burning bridges that were never meant for me to cross

You had me on my knees & still nailed me to a cross

Flags redder than the sins that fill up all your demons

I was looking for a god but not for religious reasons

You came off as quite the artist painting pictures I could touch

Crazy thing about it was you didn't even own a brush

All these plans for a future but you had no intentions

Always schemin and plottin looking for the right connections

Had me starving for affection like my needs were beneath you

That gaslighting was crazy, I really started to believe you

Had me questioning myself when I should've known better

And now that I know better, I'm already doing better

Yet and still I'm ashamed to admit how I was played

But you know I'll blame myself for pushing my back into your blade

Let's call a spade a spade, not the type to look back

Plus with all your fucking baggage, there's no helping you unpack

I felt resentment start to grow when you stopped matching energy

I had to let you go so I could be a better me

Maybe at one point we were exactly what we needed

But you chose to do me dirty, look how history repeated
