Alone, the lighthouse stands
Day turns to night
The earth waves to the sea
The sea waves its hand
And they speak uncertainly
Of the tower in the sand
Look how dark and withdrawn
Much dimmer, just a glimmer
Struggling to the dawn

But the tower replies "Just wait a while."
Alone, the lighthouse breaths
Dusk turns to dawn
It coolly lifts its head
And inhale and release
It thinks of all that's dead
And accepts what's now at peace

A seabird, flying seaward
Look now there's a pair
And one girl who's ascending the stair
The lighthouse says "I've waited for you"
And the girl says "I know. We've work to do."

The brightest light I've ever seen
A light so bright it has to mean
Hope will rise
From a lighthouse alone in the skies
