I took my time

I found it all consuming

But I took the whole thing too seriously

So I wasted all my time

I thought a rose was coming to me

But I was wrong

Now I feel like I don't have home

Wasn't watching

I wasn't truly there

I thought the walls were coming down

All the way to the ground

But I took the wrong way down

I took the long way round

Lost in the weeds

Turning like me

Turning on a dime just like they said

I was wrong

For making us so alone
