you ran away from all your senses you ran away

and still you find through all defenses the light remains

a sign of life but on the edges of where you roam

remembering when a hundred voices could take you home

looking never getting closer

can you really call it trying how you brace for the fall

after all you're getting old or

is it something near enough to make no difference at all

it's chasing all the time anywhere you go

but you let it flow through you the only way you know

you know it's a lie

are you really gonna let that go

you were living all inside

no reply

just a fear you never tried

batten down the bitter hatches now you even hear it on your own

got nowhere to hide

gather all the evidence of how you never even once believed

you'd let it inside

been waiting all your life anywhere you go

back to places where they locked you out it's anywhere you know

you know it's a lie

are you really gonna let that go
