As I Tend My Fields

Lord I plant, but you bring the rain for growth

I prepare the fields for the harvest you reap

Your affection for your laborer oh so sweet

You're devoted to the wholeness of my heart

You're the shadow shading over me

You're the breeze that's cooling through the day

In the morning, in the evening you are there. I pray 

Let me see your kingdom grow through these hands

Send your people sowing through the land

To produce the fruits of the things you delight

I have found that as I cast my net to sea
