I Can't Wash It Off

In restless sleep I can feel those walls

Where green moss grows through that cold pale hall

With the jolting hand of a tired auld clock

I'm awake for the night in a cold sweat shock

In the cold blue air I can feel your breath

As you dealt me the hand of a soulless death

With the creaking snap of the well worn floor

I'd trudge down the stairs to get out that door

And a beat down heart by the memory of you
