Time Machine

I used to have a time machine

When I met you it split in half

I only keep a little piece

It reminds me of what we had

You asked me how it fell apart

I said too many failed trips

To try and save a broken heart

The one thing that it couldn't fix

You asked me what it feels like

I said I wish that you could know

It's dark and pretty cold inside

You have to keep the status quo

And when you think you're changing things

It forces you to think again

A message that I couldn't send
