Cards on the table, didn't think we'd be here so soon The world's caving over, can't even be ignored by the news As I turn on the TV, my anxiety is through the roof By 10 o'clock the north is underwater Southern fires are announced at noon Handle with care (aah) What we're left with is fragile It's time to repair (time to repair) One wrong move and we're fragile again There's so much to say (ooh) The people aren't fragile May their voices move you To feel a little less fragile today (aah) And just when I thought that we were there All our minds on the same page Blind hearts without a care Show us our lives are worth less than what greed can bear You start to feel hopeless When apathy distils the air And nothing comes of all the fighting So you lose sight of what's beyond the horizon Handle with care (handle with care) What we're left with is fragile It's time to repair (repair) One wrong move and we're fragile again There's so much to say The people aren't fragile (ooh) May their voices move you To feel a little less fragile today (aah) I'm worried about the world becoming more hostile People are very unhappy I feel small – worried We're not learning from our mistakes, we're not even owning up to them Disconnection from nature A 2% of the world owns most of our material wealth Racism has had a devastating effect on all of us People are suffering and struggling, poverty is the highest it's been I feel cynical There has been a dehumanisation of relationships So that they don't have limitations on their imagination Career politicians should step aside and let fresh voices be heard Support young people The thing that you can affect change over is your mind The fact that we can now see Wield your power with love People making changes, protesting Offset that heartlessness with compassion and solidarity There is always a way to resolve situations Compassion, just like way more compassion Our disregard for our environment Is really just a disregard for ourselves I believe that at least we are here for a reason And for a purpose, and we are inextricably linked to the planet And to the universe like everything is I know times are scary And people feel weary To stand up for something In hopes they'll lose nothing but How can we expect a change if we're not united Might need to let a few things break, stop us feeling righteous I don't wanna lose touch I hope it's not too much to ask Being fragile is not something that would I class A weakness, we need it to learn from our past Show me life in your shoes and I'll have your back Never lose hope because I think that's important to go on in life Show me life in your shoes and I'll have your back Be brave, and continue being brave I guess And don't be scared to be uncomfortable Show me life in... have your back Yeah, I've definitely got hope for the future I don't think I'd do anything if I didn't have any hope for the future
