Lyrics

The idea behind "Pop Up Dynamo" was to recreate the style of songwriting I had
When I wrote Roxette's Luke Sharp and Joyride
As a songwriter, you tend to develop and change without realizing it
Nobody invents the wheel anymore, but you slowly alter your direction and style
Because the rest of the world is spinning around
Things change
That's natural and normal, and it has to be like that
I wanted to try to go back to the style I had in, let's say, 1988, and go from there
I didn't want it to sound like a retro record
I wanted a modern twist in the production
But I wanted myself to write songs in the manner I did in the late '80s and early '90s
It felt very inspiring
