I can see it crawling

Hear it knocking

Feel it creeping with its' cunning ways

When I close my eyes and lay to rest

I think of all the pretty stories that unfolded in this pretty mess.

It seeks to be the master

To be faster

Cares not of disasters it leaves on its' way

So when I hold you tight against my chest

I think of all the horror stories you’ll be left alone to profess

It turns its eye blindly

Oh it is hungry

Makes you feel as though you are free

I think of all the little ways that I can summon you, I confess.

I know what you want

So you can take it and flaunt it

Play my game and I’ll haunt you

Be the flame that will taunt you

I take what I need yeah

I’m the first one to please

Oh I’m a happy disease

that clings around and will tease you
