Lyrics
Ode IV.
Hide Them in the Dust
An Ode of Izrah
I.
When i rise from this body
i will wander the Earth,
through peaks of iron and lead
with hearts of copper and gold
II.
between the carved undertow
and under the gorged inferno,
drifting among high chambers
that rule dawn and dusk
III.
they orbit prisons of stars
and pillars of creation,
and balls of fire
sway in sacred winds
IV.
they spit showers of ash
to spoil my light below;
and i will sail to Hell with tails of bronze,
and chains wrapped in bone
V.
but i will find you in crystals
and ivory thrones,
and portals of pearls
atop clouds of mist
VI.
your crest of sapphire burns bright
to bleach my sins,
and obelisks of flames
precede our embrace
VII.
lost in ourselves
among the universe
VIII.
amen.
