For an exhausted creature I'm too afraid to fall asleep

One time I slept the entire day away

I woke up just to wish myself dead

So the only time I nap is when I want to get away

I'll hop on the 4am express cause I'm such a fucking mess

all it takes is fifteen minutes at best when I'm dying dying to sleep

Even when standing I feel non existent

Legs could give out I'd hit the floor

My friends say when I sleep my eyes are open

It always scared them but I think it scares me more

I'm more competent in my dreams

Had a full on conversation just last week

And the things that I hope for don't feel real in the light
