Lyrics

This is a soliloquy that I wrote in 2019, about a week after my 21st birthday
Last night in my dream I saw the bluest eyes I'd ever seen.
Didn't catch a name or anything and I can't remember a face just her eyes.
I realize our subconscious sits in disguise
In the back of our minds the deepest of thoughts collide and I'm not saying I'm getting wise, but I'm 21 now and really that's a surprise cause
I remember being 16, thinking 19 would be a big thing, five years later in my room I'm still sitting
Listening to the same songs and finding myself real calm, blowing gas that's real strong and I've been trying to stop
But I don't really see the point like yeah it stinks but I got ozium and it's just a little doink
Life stinks too but I got hoes again and that used to make a **** feel better, at least when I was still a boy.
Suppose I'm a man now and I gotta plan out what I wanna do with the rest of my days
My mind's in a haze and I self medicate so I'm usually blazed, but I'm getting tired.
I've been tired for years, I know to my peers it just appears that I'm doing fine but we all know that's a lie
At least you should.
I mean a relationship might be good, but darling I'm misunderstood and I'm sort of damaged.
We could make some plans but trying to get you to understand might prove pointless like
Telling a woodchuck to stop chuckin' wood you feel?
