Lyrics

Another Sip
Sometimes I just sit and think.
Sometimes I just sit and drink.
Missing you’s about all that I do.
  Ever since you went away,
  this is how I spend my days;
and this is how I spend the nighttime, too.
Gin or whisky, beer or wine –
drinking helps to pass the time.
I’m not picky. Anything will do.
‘Cause all I do is sit and stare
  any time and anywhere.
My tangled thoughts keep coming back to you.

I go down to the liquor store to buy my weekly groceries.
My order’s waiting at the door ‘cause everybody knows me.
Some day I’ll get over you.
Some day I’ll get sober, too.
Then your name won’t even cross my lips.
And some day I’ll be standing tall
  without the aid of alcohol,
but right now I’ll just have another sip.
