Some Thoughts

I know it's been a minute

Had to get this out my head

Too long, too late

I get it

This one's for my friends

Turn off the TV screens

And the things that distracted me

Need to sit down, write it out

Make a simple song

Some long drives and late nights

Memories I won't forget, no

Some wrong turns and tough love

Helped me find the man I am now

But you've never changed

You're my fire in the darkness

Lord, you've covered me with kindness

I only can describe it with a simple song
