Now the story goes, there was a king named Saul

A strong good looking man a handsome and a Tall

A King of the Land but the Lord wasn't

Pleased with the man no Sir

Now when the time came and the Spirit left Saul

He became so fearful that he couldn't sleep at all

The torment was strong made him cry all the daylong

Someone said he knew a humble shepherd dude

Skillful in playing the guitar and the lute

When the boy will play the torment would go away

Now I reckon obedience can't be ignored

Just because you are a handsome and a tall

So Saul sent for the boy his guitar and that's all

David, grab the guitar and stay

And make that spirit go away

I feel that spirit coming on

When the boy was done, the evil spirit gone

The beautiful music, and the people moved on

The King felt like a Star, But the Lord wasn't

Pleased, not so far

As the story goes, Saul was pleased with the man

He asked him to come home and join with the band, he did

When David played, Joy, peace and Love was

There to stay

Make that spirit go away
