Heavier Things.

Let’s be honest though

Did you tell me everything that you know

Cuz I’ve been thinking its true

All the rumors that be surrounding you

So lets not get in between

The life we live and the heavier things

Cuz when I see you now

My mind just simply will not allow

The changes thats been made

I can tell you no ones was worth that trade

Im sure your better now

Moving on is all you know how

But were supposed to make mistakes

Even though it makes our bodies ache

I know things didn’t work out

Life just had a different route

But what im saying is true

From time to time i do miss you

Regardless of things that were said

Sometimes it felt like we were hanging by thread

But sometimes life feels like a dream

And it’ll take me higher than it seems

Only to let me go

The pain is deeper than what i do show

Imma be honest too

The things i did, it didn’t help you

I can apologize

But I did, no matter the tries

The things just wont come in view

You need the cracks to let the light shine through

I can remember those days

But the memories are fading away

Like an old picture frame

That’s been unkept, it looks all the same
