I can see the mountains threw a haze

Workers on their break

In a daze

Hidden lifestyles in the alley way

Lost souls that choose to go astray

Silhouetted ashtrays that display

The stress of another person’s way

A multitude of characters lay

In the body of the work

On the table where they wait

For the murmur of the patio to break

Into their own inspiration to create

Table talk of revolution

Reminiscing over fate

People try to escape

In a moment of loose conversation

Before they have to take what awaits

On the other side of the cold world gates

Lookin for a familiar face

To make sure the world is still in place

Before they carry out their day
