Figuring It Out

I've been sitting around waiting

Constantly contemplating if it's right

I stopped putting pen to paper

I was struggling to escape the same old rhymes

Wasted all my concentration

Waiting for some indication it was time

But I had a realization

When I changed the way I framed things in my mind

If I start to feel lost or I don't know the way

I look around to find the right direction

I could make a wrong turn and I'd still be okay

There's nothing so important worth stressing

I don't have all of the answers

But I know what I'm talking about

Cuz the world keeps on spinning as I'm figuring it out

Now the sun is finally setting

So I can get to getting 'bout my life

All the other guys are drinking

But all of my best thinking is at night

Looking up at constellations for a sign

But I changed my expectations
