Thoughts Inside of My Mind

Legacy, I was born to do this

Most will tell you that they've been through it all

I won't lie that lie

But I've experienced failure from efforts when I try

Broken down to where all I wanted to do was cry

Feet dangled over the edge, thinking I was ready to die

Because I had a head full of wire

My mom would say one thing, but tell her all with her eye

All she ever wanted was better, but learn how to suffer

Ambition to some could sound like jealousy

Especially when you watching it happen for everybody

You start to wonder, are you just born to die

While others are just pure lucky

These are the thoughts inside of my mind

They say common sense isn't so common

And you start to realize that while growing

When you look around and notice only the poor ones are praying

I mean random good things are bound to happen

That don't mean it's working

But depending on how you've been brainwashed by the word

You think it all falls in line with what you heard

Most are just hedging their bets

Don't really believe

Or so unsure of what happens when you leave

Besides selfishness causing those left behind to grieve

Those don't even cherish life

Until lost to the threat of life

Then they become philosophers

Philosophizing about nothing

These are the thoughts inside of my mind

I've been contemplating lately

My mortality

What's it all worth

What's it all about

I wanna scream

I wanna shout

But everyone's looking to me

And while I can depend on nobody

I am the savior for everybody

So many dreams

So many ideas

Inside this dark room

If I was smarter

If I was stronger

If I was faster

If I was

If I was

If I was

If I was living a life worth living

Would this be the same thoughts I'd be thinking

In my heart's a heart

I know my mission

And maybe this is just

Depression talking

At least with it

I can have a conversation

With no question

Just understanding
