When we’re gone they’ll watch our highlights playout on reruns

Our greatest hits marathon

I’ll see you right by my side the way through

The previews couldn’t show all we’ve been through

Long drives back home right after the show felt alive

We never knew it would be the last time

We all grow up and move on but that’s life

We only got so much time

So who am I to think that you’ll remember me

Paint me a perfect scene, write me an elegy

Cause someday I will be a distant memory
