Pain and sorrow filled eyes

Staring back at me, through the mirror

And all I see

Looks of disgust and anguish

This shell I call self

Is not a friend to me

I wish I could show you me

Pretending to be fine, wishing happiness was mine

Hate it when self looks at me, from this shell of a body

This me that you see, it’s not really me

I’m losing this fight deep inside, trying to stay calm

Will you please, give me a sign!
