Old Man in the Mirror

He woke up this morning

Grabbed some breakfast and tea

He looked in the mirror

And said "I don't see me."

He said "Who is this man

I have become?"

He don't recognize the old man

Looking back at him

Many was the yesterday

Past gone by

Another day above ground

Is a beautiful gift

The gifts they are disguised

Don't take for granted

Or they'll pass you by

When they are gone

They are gone

Don't look back with regret

At what you should have done

Don't live life in anger

Or you'll overlook joy

Don't obsess with things

That you can't change

When he bears a heavy burden

He gets bogged down

The old man's not as patient

As he once was

The camel can only carry

So many of those little straws

His back gets broken

But he won't let you down

He said

"I don't have time left

To sit patiently

Waste my time trying to

He knows the joy's on the road

Sometimes it has many bumps

The old man tells himself

Sometimes enough is enough
