Setting the Fire

So many wasted days, spent in oblivion. And I can’t have them back, but I can make this a life worth living.

I’ll set the fire.

I’ll take everything I was and burn it all. I’ll take all of my apathy, all my mental atrophy and burn it all.

The fire has to burn. This isn’t over, I need to hold on. The answers don’t come easily. I’ve earned everything to be the person who sets the fire.
