Caught a rustle round the hen house

But I know it ain’t a roof rat

Something funky in the barnyard

Got a hunch it ain’t a loose cat

Little birdie chirping round the cage

Saying her daddy ain’t crow for days

My mama she told me

You got to keep up on the feed I warn ya

Heard a shuffle round the scarecrow

Little cackle in the corn field

Gonna have to get the hog dog

There they go walking two by two while I wonder what’s little boy to do
