Introvert at a Christmas Party

I’ll stand by the Christmas tree

And hope nobody talks to me

Is there anything worse

Than an introvert

At a Christmas party

Everyone is having a ball

But I keep wondering when can I call

It a night and go home

I look down at my phone

I hate Christmas parties

I never know what to say

I never know where to stand

I can’t work up the courage to let go and partayyy

Even with this drink in my hand

Eggnog’s gross anyway

Its gross anyway

I’ll avoid the mistletoe

Cause no one lives up to you, you know

And it’s freezing outside

I’ll have to hide here inside

At this Christmas party

I’ve never been good at small talk

I end up with my foot in my mouth

And it’s really quite hard to get up and walk away

When you’ve got your foot in your mouth

Yeah small talk sucks anyway

Sucks anyway

Secretly I think they’re just as shy

They just get drunk and try to deny

That there’s nothing worse

Than a bunch of introverts
