On random days

My thoughts are a nonstop shop

Encountering many delays

Of emotions that won't drop

I possess the might to march on

I'll persist

Embracing my existence

Now's not the time to desist

This morning I rose with gloom

Yet the rest, joy resumes

I can advance through the gloom

To ponder a retreat

Occasionally we tumble

But rise to grin at defeat
