Obsidian Sol

Despair scourges the lands between

Scriptures foretell a prophecy unforeseen

Inscribed upon a pelt of druid's skin

Dare not say the words aloud, hold thy tongue and bury it underground

Shroud this body and leave it to rot

No mouth shall speak it, no eye shall see it, no ear will hear the sentences etched in agony

This was a sacrifice, an offering to the Ouroboros

How can I live knowing the pitch black has begun to engulf the sun?

Turning it's heavenly glow slowly obsidian

I must carry this burden like a cross on my back

I wanted to cast it away but my weary bones cannot let go of its presence

My legs tremble as the earth blisters my feet, and so I ascend the hill of knives

Even if I take my own life, this curse will not die with me

Forever consuming me, it ravages my soul and beckons me towards the depths

Beyond the mountain's peak, you will fall to your knees before the obsidian sol

The sky bled red that fateful day you stabbed your thorn in my side

Gasping for air, my final breath subsides

Wailing like a banshee, the shrill squall

Penetrates my soul like the nine of swords

What has happened to me?

The curse has taken me

And so the night unfurls

Feel the poles shifting, these harsh icy winds are desolating the landscape

Day becomes night, night becomes day, everlasting gloom

Beyond the mountain's peak, you will fall to your knees before the obsidian sol

The sky bled red that fateful day you stabbed your thorn in my side

Gasping for air, the light dies, my final breath subsides

The Ouroboros spits out its tail

And all life ceases, and all life ceases
