I wrote a note in my mirror before I left

Saying I should take a moment to notice the way I'm blessed

show gratitude for the journey and faith in whatever's next

Allowing every emotion to come and go as a guest (uh)

It's longer days getting further from home

Chasing my thoughts around a maze like a dog with a bone

Was getting dizzy and dissociative stuck in my zone

Forcing myself back into shoes that I'd already outgrown (damn)

Well that's the good news

That's there's some new good

I bet it helps bloom

Just like the spring should

I hope it's looking for me while I'm out here searching

And it has the honest kindness to tell me a ways not working

I'm tired of trying to be perfect 'stead of being myself

Swallowing silence while I'm hurting stead of asking for help

And still offer my heart for service with no care for the core
