Lyrics

When I was younger, I often felt that the world was static Something that couldn't be changed or edited As I grew up, I realized that, with time, nearly everything that you come across in this world has properties that you can take control of and make your own And I realized this when I got a tattoo Where, until then, my body, something that I thought was immutable, I had control over how it looked Now obviously you can do similar things with working out or changing your wardrobe but this was something that was profoundly and uniquely me That artwork became a part of me, it was imbued onto my body And to an extent, the place that you live is also something that can be changed, something that can be modified Like a tattoo If you don't like something, knock down a wall If something is bothering you, rip up the garden and plant something new, something that fits you Sure, it can take a lot of work, or in the case of a tattoo, a bit of suffering But sweat and blood and scars can help catalyze the importance of change and growth It gives those changes weight and meaning The idea that the world is modular, the world is something that you can take and grasp and rearrange, took a very long time for me to understand But it allowed me to become more in sync with my surroundings and allowed me to become a better person through the environment which I was a part of Never forget that the world is modular
