One little mouse sits in the cage

Pressing the levers receiving its wage

again

One little mouse, sits in its den

All by itself, maybe that's just its way

Though there may be others around

Rats will pretend to be one of them

Taking much more intent on their gain

and they bite and gnaw

If this little mouse thinks up a plan

to get out of its cage to escape from

Would we know?

Maybe we'll never know

Too many mice are feeling the same

They want a way out from playing this game
