Bitter sweet pastel memories

All the books my father gave to me

All the books I gave to you my love

Each time the book is closed the story’s left behind

And I get lost alone

When I was young I believed there was a sun

that goes up and a sun that goes down

In my heart, I always thought they were two things

And the moon and the stars in the night

were the same lights that lit up the streets

They were the same to my young eyes

Tears of sadness and the tears of joy

After the crying it is all the same

It all comes down to the thought those tears are from the heart

The goodness that we share from our heart

All the mornings when I think of you

All the evenings when I feel for you

You bring out the poet in me, philosopher too my dear
