"Mary's Joint," this is one of my favorite songs It's so sad because, again, I was sayin' "I love, I love you so, I can't let go, you know what's real, the way I feel" Again, I'm singing to someone, wanting them to love me Wanting them to stay with me, wanting them to Trying to make them understand that I know that you're mad but you're all the man I need Like, I know, you know, that, you know, you out there but I don't wanna leave And, um, it was, this song was probably like towards the end of, you know, the turmoil in my relationship And, um, it was real sad, it was real sad And I remember writing this, I remember sittin' with Puff and writing this And I think he was, it seemed like everybody was goin' through something Puff was goin' through something, he was sad about something I was sad about something And, you know, when it got to the bridge of this song We like, wrote it together And, um, it was just, it was just a sad studio session, real sad Of course, it's Chucky again, Chucky Thompson knows how to make me strip But, um, thank God for Chucky for those colors, you know, that he puts in his music And, just, yeah, Chucky's amazing
