Status Quo ist eine der langlebigsten Bands des Vereinten Königreichs, die fast 30 Jahre lang zusammenblieb. Davon war die Gruppe die meiste Zeit nur zu Hause, wo sie eine Serie von Top-Ten-Singles produzierten, deren Erfolg bis in die 90er Jahre hinein andauerte. In den USA wurde die Band ignoriert, nachdem sie Anfang der 70er Jahre Psychedelia zugunsten kräftigen Boogie Rocks aufgegeben hatten.
